Back in 1926, Richard Hirschmann invented the “plug with clamping device for the connection wire inside the insulator,” and that idea still shapes how we connect things in electrical and electronic testing today.
We at Pulsotronic GmbH took over the Test & Measurement business from Hirschmann in July 2006. Since then, we’ve continued to offer this long‑proven product line based on the latest IEC 61010 requirements, and we also work closely with our customers to develop new solutions.
One example is our redesigned 2 mm safety system — a big step toward miniaturization and perfectly in line with the trend toward smaller test accessories. Even with the smaller size, we still deliver full performance: 1000 V CAT III according to the current IEC 61010 standard.

18.12.2024 - Must-have for your safety area - the new ASS 4-2 safety adapter
The new Hirschmann Test & Measurement product complements our safety range and combines the 4 mm and 2 mm safety system. The contact-protected adapter offers full performance with 1,000 V / CAT III and thus stands out from other products.
The ASS 4-2 consists of a 4 mm spring-loaded safety plug and a rigid 2 mm safety socket. The socket is used to accommodate 2 mm safety plugs or test leads.
This new feature makes cross-system connection simple and safe.
The safety adapter enables more flexible working in the high-voltage segment without compromising on quality and safety.
