Reed Sensor & Magnets
Reed sensors react to external magnetic fields and open or close electrical circuits depending on the magnetic fields, making them ideal for use in many electrical circuits and devices. They can be found in telecommunication devices, elevators, in automobiles, as level switches or as door and window contacts in security systems. To trigger the sensors, magnets are placed on moving parts opposing the switches. We carry wide ranges of both Reed sensors and matching magnets in different designs for print mounting, screw mounting or SMD technology. Reed switches vary in operating voltages and maximum switching capacities and are available in different sensitivity classes for entry detection along with magnets in different sizes.
